Owl
Cut out two small circles of paper or felt, and a small orange or yellow triangle. Glue googly eyes on to the lower part of the circles.
When the glue is dry, sit your cone upright on its wider end and glue the eyes on to the upper half. Stick on the triangle, one tip pointing down, as a beak.
Add feathers, dried leaves, or paper or felt ovals on to the sides of the cones for wings. Whoooo’s a great artist? You are!
CAT
If you have a pine cone with big spaces between the scales, you don’t need glue! Poke cotton wool balls into the spaces, so your cone is completely covered in cotton.
Cut out two short pointy ears and a long wiggly tail from paper or felt. Stand your pine cone up on its wide end and glue the ears and tail on to your cone. Add a pair of googly eyes on to the front of your cone.
Twist two short pieces of pipe cleaner together to make an X shape . . . then glue these below the eyes to make cat whiskers!
