As far as your mum was concerned, she’d probably be sporting a long woollen skirt and a short-sleeved blouse
or tunic. She’d have a hat or a hairnet, perhaps shoes made from leather and socks to keep her tootsies warm. She might have finished off her trendy look with a leather belt, a beaded necklace, a bracelet, and possibly even earrings.
Rocking the woollen skirt – now for some bling!
She may even have had a handbag – one was found in a grave near Leipzig in Germany that dated to between 4,500 and 4,200 BC and was covered with over 100 dogs’ teeth!

FANCY THAT!
A huge bronze dagger discovered at Oxborough in Norfolk may look deadly at first sight, but the blade is actually thick and blunt. It was probably wielded by a chieftain as part of a ceremony. So it's great to look at, but don't ask him to cut your ham and tomato sandwich into triangles or you'll be disappointed.
