Do you like telling people about the amazing things you and your family have done? Like that QUEST you and your dad went on to defeat the Beast with FOURTEEN BOTTOMS and BIG POINTY TEETH?
And who can forget your Grandma’s journey to the cAvE oF ArRgGhH to find the lOsT MoUsTaChE of DeStInY? The only problem is, of course, that everyone thinks you’re just a little teller of big fibs.
But if you think YoU’vE GoT iT BaD, the tall tales that were told in ancient Greece really took the biscuit.
. . . and then I defeated the terrifying monster using only a teaspoon and half a banana. It´s TRUE!
Their tAlL TaLeS were called myths and legends – stories that played a very important part in Greek life, religion and thought. The myths came from an age when there was no writing and hardly any TeLeViSiOnS – and were passed down through storytelling in theatres and by word of mouth.
