  Staying healthy
Your body does so many incredible things, but to stay healthy, you need to take good care of yourself too.
It’s important to eat a mix of different types of healthy food:
Carbohydrates like bread, potatoes and pasta give you energy.
Proteins like eggs, meat, fish and beans help your body to grow and repair itself.
Fats from milk, cheese and oil keep your bones and teeth strong.
Fruit and vegetables have minerals and vitamins in them to keep your body working properly. They also give you fibre which keeps your gut healthy.
Your body needs about six to eight glasses of water a day, but water in your food and other drinks (like milk) count towards this.
It’s important to stay active with lots of exercise. You need to get up and move around to keep your heart pumping and your body working.
Make sure you take good care of your body – it’s amazing!
