How you can help
Join in with a litter-pick on a local beach.
Use a reusable water bottle when you go to the beach, instead of buying a new plastic one.
The energy you save by
recycling just one glass bottle could light a 100-watt lightbulb for four hours!
Use unbleached paper, as bleach can damage water systems.
To save water and keep our coasts healthy, don’t leave the tap running when you brush your teeth.
Pick up your dog’s poo when you take it for a walk, so it doesn’t spread disease.
Don’t release sky lanterns or balloons. When they land, wildlife such as coastal birds and fish can get tangled in them or choke on them.
