   How you can help
Attach window stickers to clear windows to stop birds accidentally flying into them.
If you see a baby bird on the ground, leave it alone. It’s likely that its mummy will be nearby.
Put a bell on the collar of your cat so that it can’t sneak up on birds.
Put food and water out for the birds, especially in winter.
Look out for wildlife campaigns and support the ones that matter to you, like The Big Garden Birdwatch by the RSPB.
Although bread is not harmful to birds, it doesn’t provide many nutrients and can choke small chicks. Instead, put out chopped nuts in winter, and seeds and dried fruit in the summer.
Grow plants with berries for birds to eat.
Go birdwatching with friends and log all the different birds you can spot.
