Doncaster’s Free festival of art and performance
will be on Sir Nigel Gresley Square, 9-10 September
with street theatre, dance, circus and more. Including Project_Vee, Roule e wheel meets juggling: danger,
skill and unpredictable moments. The Aperitif by Wet Picnic which immerses the audience in street theatre using silent disco technology and Roadworks, a quirky
and humorous engagement between a dancer and

There’s something to suit

Regent Square is a beautiful mid-19th century garden Square. The gardens are surrounded by period houses and the well-known Regent Hotel and is just 20 minutes walk away from
the Racecourse. Takes
place Thursday to Saturday, September 14-16. It o ers themed a er racing events with food and bars. This year sees acts from 80’s pop and rock to tributes to Paloma Faith and The Beatles.

Along with the St Leger, one of Doncaster’s best known exports is Lesley Garre . The Thorne born soprano is making a rare appearance on stage in her hometown and it is guaranteed to be one of the ho est tickets
in town. The show features
the English National Philharmonic
Orchestra and principal
singers from the Royal Opera House and English National
Opera, is presented by
the UK Theatre Bureau. ‘Magic of the Opera’ is a family
show featuring highlights from all the popular operas, including the Toreador song from Carmen, Mozart’s Marriage Of Figaro, Time To Say Goodbye, Verdi’s Anvil Chorus, the Pearl Fishers duet, Ave Maria and, of course, Nessun Dorma.
