As one of the top schools in the Wakefield area in terms of progress we are overjoyed with the effort that students, staff and parents have put into recognising that education is the basis and gateway to the wider world. We will strive to aid young people in making positive choices so that they can be safe, responsible and respectful human beings. Our aim is to have high quality education at every opportunity and build on the outstanding results that were achieved in English, Maths, Science and Languages.
St. Mary’s Menston Catholic Voluntary Academy
We are so proud to be recognised as one of the top performing schools in Leeds, which reflects the hard work and sheer determination of our students. We are grateful for the exceptional support and guidance provided by our parents/carers and our staff team. St. Mary’s Menston students have excelled in their performance and demonstrated high academic standards in key attainment and progress measures.
At GCSE, our students5 progress was above national and key subject attainment was in the top 20% of all schools.
Sixth form students excelled by achieving exceptionally high average point scores for A level and Applied General qualifications. The AAB A level performance was particularly pleasing.
It is a privilege to work alongside our students and families over the course of their KS3, KS4 and KS5 studies. It is a pleasure to see their efforts come to fruition and to see them contributing so positively to the wider community.
Outwood Academy Easingwold
At Outwood Academy Easingwold, we are proud that a quarter of all entries achieved either Grade 9, 8, A*, or A across GSCE and A Levels in 2019.
In core subjects, English and maths, 86% of GCSE students achieved a Grade 4 or higher and 68% achieved a Grade 5 or higher in both subjects, while students also made strong progress in modern foreign languages, music and performing arts. We are delighted to be the top performing school in North Yorkshire for A-Level progress and 5 th for Grade 5+ in English and
Maths.
