Meadowhall has played to host todozensofcelebritiesover the past 25 years.
One of the first famous visi­ tors was Mexborough-born TV star Keith Barron, who was pictured looking around the construction site in June 1990.
Live Aid hero and pop star Bob Geldof was also near the headofthequeue,openingthe HMV store on Meadowhall’s first day in September 1990.
They have been followed by a veritable galaxy of stars of TV, cinema and sport and members ofthe Royal Family over the years.
The big Christmas lights switch-on has always been star studded but many stores have invited celebrities to visit as well. Boxer Kell Brook even used the centre as a place to train in public! Here are some of our photographs ofjust a few ofthose familiar faces.
