   Great Place delivers fantastic festivals, exciting events and lots of activities to get involved in. In particular, thousands of young people in the local area will contribute, connecting and re-connecting with the places they live.
Great Place is a partnership between Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust and Elsecar Heritage Centre, and Rotherham MBC and Barnsley MBC. The project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England.
 Young Archaeologists’ Club, Barnsley & Rotherham

Do you know a young person who loved Horrible Histories or is interested in archaeology and history? Come along and have fun by learning some archaeological skills or making crafty history-inspired creations, whilst finding out about different historical topics. There are also opportunities
to visit historical sites and fieldwork such as excavation.
This club moves monthly between sites at Elsecar Heritage Centre in Barnsley and Clifton Park Museum in Rotherham. Please be aware that this is an ongoing club and not a one-off event.
10am–12noon | Suitable for 8–16 years olds | 50p per child
