Science Week Workshops
Monday 9 until Friday 13 March 2020
We are offering schools a 10% discount during Science Week for STEM workshops at the sites below.
A Material World
Elsecar Heritage Centre
A full day KS2 workshop exploring materials and their properties and uses at Elsecar and beyond. Pupils will be inspired to create their own ‘industrial’ collage and will tour the famous Newcomen Beam Engine.
Special price of £8 per pupil.
Mill Tour
Worsbrough Mill
This half day tour for KS1 or KS2 will explore the workings of the watermill and how bread was made through the ages. Pupils can also explore the reservoir and country park self-led.
Special price of £4.50 per pupil.
Creating Cannon Hall
Cannon Hall
In this full day KS2 workshop, pupils will use science and maths to become architects for the day, using skills learnt to create their own scale plan of a museum and design their own ceramic tile inspired by William De Morgan.
Special price of £8 per pupil.
