Voices of Birralee
Paul Holley OAM - Artistic Director
Voices of Birralee is one of Australia’s finest youth
arts organisations whose performances have inspired audiences for over 25
years. Created by founder Julie Christiansen OAM, Birralee has become a
powerhouse of singing with approximately 350 members, aged five to 35 years
across six ensembles, with a seventh, annual adult project choir. The program
is committed to developing caring and responsible citizens through music and
ensembles are recognised at home and abroad for professionalism and artistic
excellence.
Voices of Birralee’s signature choirs, Brisbane Birralee Voices, Birralee Blokes
and Resonance of Birralee are ensembles whose musical excellence is
matched by their commitment to engaging performance. In addition to their
own concerts, these ensembles are regularly engaged by professional arts
organisations and support community events. The choirs have toured
extensively most recently providing choral ensembles for the Western Front
Centenary Commemoration services on Anzac Day in Villiers Bretonneux,
France and for centenary commemorations in Fromelle, Pozieres, Polygon
Wood and Le Hamel as well as Armistice Day in 2018 at the Australian
National Memorial in Villers Bretonneux. More information, www.birralee.org
