CONCLUSION
decided to write this book because of the amount of
change that technology and innovation have brought
Iabout in our society in just one generation.
I didn’t want us to forget how far we’ve come in such
a short period of time, and how the PC and microchip
revolutions sparked the changes that propelled us
forward from their humble beginnings.
Data is now the most valuable commodity of the future,
supporting much of the innovation. In fact, it appears to
be like gold.
We’veseen how data has evolvedinto the fuel that drives
many businesses’ goals and engines. Based on our
searches, behavioral habits, and purchasing patterns,
we’ve seen how it’s collected, measured, analyzed, and
used for marketers and advertisers.
Nothing compares to what the world is witnessing and
experiencing as a result of the digital revolution, the
Internet as the information highway, and the ease of
access across all industries and sectors of societies
around the world.
New business models have emerged to meet our every
need and convenience online as a result of widespread
acceptance of the Internet, booming mobile device
usage,and vast amounts of data.
