RADICAL LOVE

3 Then I encountered the overseers as they encircled the city.

So I asked them, “Have you found him—my heart’s true love?”

4 Just as I moved past them, I encountered him. I found the one I adore!

I caught him and fastened myself to him, refusing to be feeble in my
heart again. Now I’ll bring him back to the temple within where I was

given new birth—into my innermost parts, the place of my conceiving.

5 Promise me, O Jerusalem maidens, by the gentle gazelles and
delicate deer, that you’ll not disturb my love until she is ready to arise.
          T
he season has changed! This is something we need to watch
and listen for. We also need to be mindful of the fact that God

changes the season—not us or other people—and the length

of a season varies from person to person. If we are to grow into mature
children of God, we must allow God’s Spirit to move us forward into

          the new.

I often hear people say that they are not sure what God is asking of

them or what they should be doing (I have been in this position myself).

However, experience has shown that if we make intimacy with God our
number one goal and stay connected to our life source, we will

eventually receive the love, grace, and strength to recognize and
surrender to His prompting, and move into all that God has for us.

This can take time, as we see from the Shulamite’s response, but the
Lord is gentle and knows our fears, weaknesses, and frailties. He waits

patiently for us to grow in the grace that will equip us for all that lies
