     SESSION 7 : Song of Songs Chapter 2:11-17; 3:1-5
place. There is an urgency in His voice—almost as if He is saying there
is no time to waste. There is a world outside of herself that needs to be
reached, and this can only become a reality when she has allowed Him
to make her into a vessel that manifests His resurrection life.
Notice how it is all His work in us. Verse 14 begins with the words:
“For you are my dove, hidden in the split-open rock.”
In the New Testament, we read something similar with regard to being
          hidden:
“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on
things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. For you
died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." (Colossians 3:1–
          3, NIV)
This rock in which we are hidden is none other than Jesus Christ
Himself. And as such, He is unchangeable, immovable, impenetrable,
unshakeable, steadfast, strong, secure, and totally dependable.
          He is our hiding place:
“In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human
intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues.”
          (Psalm 31:20, NIV)
“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and
surround me with songs of deliverance.” (Psalm 32:7, NIV)
