The Story of the Woman Healed

I liked this story because it reminds me of my mom.

She was always sick and going from doctor to doctor,
month after month and year after year. She spent all the

money she had, but never got well. Her community
despised her, so she stayed by herself. One day, she

somehow heard that Jesus was coming to town. She

decided that no matter what, she was going out to see
Him. She pushed her way through the crowd, thinking

to herself, “If I can just touch the hem of His garment, I
know that I will be healed.”

Sure enough, she touched Him—and she was healed.

When Jesus asked, “Who touched me?” (v45, NKJV),
she told Him the truth.

My stepfather smoked a pipe. One morning, he stuffed
it with tobacco and sent me to the kitchen to light it for

him.
