nothing to fear. This truth of God’s unfailing love, compassion, and

faithfulness had been downloaded to him in the wilderness during
intimate times of prayer, praise, and worship with his heavenly Father.

We are also children of the covenant—in fact, of an even better one
than David knew—because Jesus made it and sealed it with His blood.

If you are not familiar with what it means to be in covenant with God,

I encourage you to conduct a Bible study on the subject and learn more.
It will change your life!

People of God, our roots must go deep into Christ so that we really
know who our Saviour is. Jesus died at 33 for the whole world—He

gave Himself when He was at His peak! He did not die when He was

young and weak or old and feeble. He gave His very best for us, and
therefore, in light of this truth, I’m sure you’ll agree that He, too,

deserves our best.

In verse 10, we read that the Shulamite’s cheeks are aglow, and as the

cheeks occupy a large part of the face, one can assume that her face is

shining. In Romans 12:11 (AMP), it says: “Never lag in zeal and in
earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the

Lord.”

As she listens to the compliments and affirmation from the one she

loves—albeit imperfectly—it fills her with joy and causes her to grow
in passion for him. He says that the earrings and gem-laden necklaces

set her cheeks ablaze. This speaks of the spiritual gifts and graces that
