Check your labels where possible and be aware of the following:

Formaldehyde – preservative in shampoos and soaps linked to cancer

Paraben – preservative in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products that alter our

hormones and can cause developmental problems

Triclosan – antibacterial and antifungal agent in toothpaste, soaps, detergents,

and even some toys that was deemed as unsafe by the FDA in 2017 that can

disrupt thyroid and reproductive hormones and can cause us to resist antibiotics

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate – foaming agent in shampoos, soaps, cleaning products

and even some foods strips skin of natural oils that can cause skin irritations

Phthalate – salt of phthalic acid found in various beauty, cleaning and personal

care products as well as some food packaging and toys which is an endocrine

disruptor that can cause cancer and affect human reproductive organs and

development
