The search to find holy grail accelerated – this time with great urgency. I had to climb out of the valley, the rut. I had no desire to die a pauper.
Fortunately, Ted painted a more positive picture of the final three steps in my life. According to his reading, I would begin the climb to finally become who I really was. At least, that was my interpretation.
I had hope.
The breakthrough called intuition
I had joined the Unity Atlanta church.
At one of the services, Reverend John Strickland brought in an “animal communicator” – a woman who could communicate with animals intuitively. Another description is “animal psychic.”
After my experience with psychics, I was all ears. Karen and I attended a workshop on animal intuition that afternoon.
At the church, Reverend Duke, a dachshund, was the minister of unconditional love. Duke did his job well, greeting the parishioners with great exuberance, tail always wagging.
Duke came to the workshop with his staff, Reverend John and his wife Brenda. Brenda had Duke’s favorite snack and toy in her purse.
Duke was going to be our test case to learn that we could communicate with animals by communicating with Duke.
The animal psychic told us that we all had the ability to communicate with our animals using our God given gift of intuition – the Sacred Gift.
Sure we did. Really? With animals? I was poor at communicating with myself intuitively. But I was curious. I had to check it out.
She then had us “intuit” Reverend Duke’s favorite food and favorite toy. I “guessed” both accurately, and in some detail.
I was hooked. Perhaps the solution to my life-long struggle with self- esteem was simply, or not quite so simply, learning to use and integrate my intuition at a much higher level.
