Spar Street is an internationally acclaimed artist who, as he puts it, “will not act unless my intuition tells me.”
Spar’s paintings and sculptures are now treasured by Richard Branson, Ted Turner and many other contemporary art collectors, but it wasn’t always that way.
Journey from cold to hot or from head to heart
Like many 20-somethings, Spar chased the American dream – money – and what it could buy. Then he realized that chasing that dream brought loneliness and emptiness.
He couldn’t cry. He was devoid of emotion, yet knew he had to get in touch with his feelings if he was to find joy.
30 plus years ago, he asked his inner being to feel something so deeply that it would bring tears to his eyes every day. He has felt that level of emotion every day since. We both cried during the interview.
Then he met Johanna.
“Do you always cry when you meet someone?” she asked.
A year later they were married and have developed a strong foundation for living.
As Johanna describes it: “He is the engine and I’m the rudder.” Both lead with intuition.
They have realized that intimacy is the ultimate key to connecting with that inner power.
Journey of the Artist
Sensing is the function of consciousness that brings awareness to our senses. We are aware of our senses. Our culture tends to pay more attention to our senses than to its opposite, intuition.
Our senses provide the facts, the scientific evidence and often things that support our beliefs.
