How does one connect with their intuition?
“First, we have to suspend judgement. Then we make a choice of functioning with power or blindness. Finally, it’s a matter of an open heart and mind - a sense of receptivity and openness.”
How does one develop the power of intuition?
Spar and Johanna realized that, for them, intimacy was key. Intimacy with each other then leads to deeper intimacy with themselves.
As you think deeply about intimacy, you realize that most of us fear it. In fact, I suggest that most addiction can be traced to a fear of intimacy – a fear of facing ourselves and each other at the deepest levels.
Many people would agree that we are our own worst enemy – that part of us will sabotage our lives at times. Johanna doesn’t just agree, she “knows” it firsthand.
Johanna: “The ‘Joining’ process is central to overcoming our fears, especially the fear of love and intimacy. Once we embrace our fears, our intuitive mind communicates when needed.”
What is the “Joining” process and how does it work?
Johanna: “You simply sit with another person whom you want to be intimate with and gaze into their eyes without speaking. You will quickly find that this is not as easy as it sounds.”
It takes courage and a commitment to stick to the joining process, but it is a sure way to begin to hear and trust the power of your intuition.
Here, as Spar describes the process, you have to realize that words often get in the way of intimacy and intuitive communication.
“Words are cheap. They mean nothing. Spend 30 minutes a day or week simply gazing into your wife’s eyes. There is nothing more powerful.”
The core of Spar and Johanna’s connection with the higher power of intuitive guidance is to align with each other and in so doing, align with the voice that knows the way.
