According to most Post-Modern Church believers, God is within every person. Intuition is thought of as a way to experience God directly. Jesus of Nazareth, the person, is viewed as a way-shower, an example, not an exception.
Intuition can play a major role as a gateway to the divine at any of these levels. One can argue that the Tribal Church had more members who were absolutely in touch with all three types of intuition (past, present and future). These people were clearly closer to their natural instincts.
An evolution of life
To put it into a more personal understanding, the chakras are an example of structures as one moves through life:
The first year of one’s life you identify with the base chakra. You have oral drives with only one perspective - me and my needs.
Then one moves into the emotional - sexual or second chakra. Again the perspective is me and my needs.
