Moving up the Emotional Scale
The scale below, from Abraham-Hicks, shows a typical range of emotions.
The important thing to understand is that emotion or feeling just is. You cannot override it with what you want it to be. You can move up the scale, but only by fully accepting your current feelings and working with them deeply.
Listen to the message it is giving you at the moment and feel it as deeply as possible. And then there are exercises shown to move to a better feeling place.
Many people want to be positive, and/or project a positive image. The result is mental masturbation where we are intellectually happy, but are, in fact, numbed to our true emotions.
The point of this exercise is to be as honest as possible about where you are on the scale of emotions, feel them deeply and then move to a more enjoyable space within our minds.
In my business, I use a “Happiness Meter” or a gage of 1 to 10 for my degree of happiness with 10 being bliss. This helps me experience my feelings at a deeper level. If I am low on the scale, I stop and attempt to feel the emotion as deeply as possible.
