Q: Does a TEM vendor’s software replace ITSM software for service ordering?
A: No, a TEM vendor’s software is not a replacement to ITSM software, it is a complement. ITSM software is used for order requests, order approval, and break- x ticketing across all technology and services in an organization. It also contains service catalogs from which services can be priced and selected. TEM software can con gure orders to be placed with telecom vendors and carriers, but it does not replace the other capabilities of ITSM software. So, the two software suites are typically integrated to leverage the work ow and capabilities of each.
