KAWRJ October 2018
P. 1

KAWRJ Connections October 2018 Adopt-a-Row continues
October 8, 5:30 p.m.
KAWRJ has been involved in helping the Clark County Food Bank through their Adopt-a-Row program. In June we prepared the ground and planted the squash seeds. In July and August, we spent time weeding and keeping our plants healthy. Last month, we weeded and picked some of the squash and let them cure in the field. In October we will harvest again. If you are interested in picking squash and helping to feed the hungry, please contact us at kawrj18@gmail.com.
KAWRJ to Sponsor Oneg and Photo Booth October 13, noon at CKA
For the last couple years, when the parshah about Noah is read, Rabbi Dunsker has offered an opportunity for people to bring their pets for a blessing. This year, KAWRJ will host a photo booth where you can have a picture snapped of you with your pet after the blessing.
In addition, we’d like to reach out and help those who are homeless and have a pet by bringing pet food to fill up the kennel. All the collected food will be donated to the Clark County Food Bank and their pantries.
Even if you don’t have a pet, or your pet is too skittish
to attend, join us for an animal-themed oneg and help a pet whose owner doesn’t have a home.
Food + Friends: What could be better?
