This book is dedicated to UN Women on the occasion of the organisation’s 10th
anniversary. UN Women has been unequivocally steadfast in the fight for global
gender equality & justice.
Over the past 10 years, you have catalysed a global culture of women
movements across the world, driving an agenda that will never again allow
women to be 'less', in all aspects of life.

In Africa, we certainly have a longer way to go than most, and so we started
PABWA 6 months ago to add the economic empowerment narrative to the
African agenda of gender equality.

We want to honour you with this 'book of inspiration’ of all the many women
who have lit our path, and guided our way.
As UN Women, your insights & encouragement has shone the brightest light in
defining our goals of boldly rewriting the narrative of the economic agenda
towards gender equality in Africa.

On this, your 10th anniversary, our celebration of you, is because the last 10
years has changed the world, for forever. YOU leads us, guide us, and serve as
our beacon of hope.

As we head into the ‘fields of war’ against gender inequality, we know that you
‘have our backs’, and we promise to weave #GenerationEquality & "Build Back
