             The next morning, at 12
             6:30 a.m, the girls made
             a rope using the clothes
             that they had bought
             from home and used it
like a ladder to sneak out
             of the balcony. They left
             pillows and wings under
             the quilt so that their
             parents would not know.
             Once they reached the
             school, they found the
             old lady with the pizza
             box in her hands.

So they did just that. At 8:30 a.m. they reached back home,
got ready for school but instead of going to class, they went
straight to the staff room. There they said the words,
"Abracadabra alakazam! We cast a spell and wish a wish that
may come true. A clone of us or a clone of others, we will be
able to do abracadabra Gilly Gilly goo! We wish a wish that
may come true. Boom!" And just like that, there was smoke
             all around them!

But oh my my, they forgot the last word of the spell. After waiting for a while, they found clones of
themselves, but instead when they were 80 years old, silly looking old hags, OH NOO! said Alisha.
Now what do we do?! School was going to start in an hour’s time. The girls panicked and went home.
Sally’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brown, called the old lady. The girls turned back to their original forms and
they learnt never to take shortcuts in life. If they wanted to pass the exams, they would have to study.
There are no shortcuts in life! With this realisation, they pulled up their socks and started preparing for
             their exams.

                                                                        KIRSTEN BURRETT
                                                                             GRADE VI
