COLD COOKING
COMPETITION
Students of Junior Section of Gyananda School for Girls, donned their ‘Chef Caps’ to
exhibit their culinary skills in ‘Cooking Without Fire’ Inter House competition held on
23rd November 2022. Students of Ashworth Public School also joined us to show their
culinary skills and they prepared some yummy sandwiches. Children participated with
enthusiasm as they came up with some nutritious yet delicious recipes. Presentation
was a visual treat as all the recipes were artistically displayed. Dishes were judged on
various parameters like presentation, time limit, introduction and taste by esteemed
judges Ms. Shikha Prasher and Ms. Roshni Badola. They interacted with the budding
chefs to find out the ingredients of the recipes, nutritional value, process of preparing
the dishes. Judges were very surprised by the efforts of the participants and results
were announced amidst tough competition. Judges were fascinated by the names of the
dishes like Frutella, Confectioner’s delight, Lip smacking fox nuts, paan shot, etc. First
position was secured by Mother Teresa House, closely followed by Sarojini Naidu House
which bagged the second position. Kalpana Chawla House got third position and Mary
Kom secured the fourth position. The event not only provided a platform for the
students to foster their creativity and decision making skills but also helped them
explore their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest.
