INVESTITURE

CEREMONY

Ever since its inception in 2016, Gyananda School for Girls
hosted its first Investiture Ceremony on Wednesday, August
24, 2022, marking the formation of a new senate. The ceremony
began with a welcome song and a small cultural program
wherein the students presented musical and dance
performances. The Principal of the school, Ms Meenakshi

Mehta graced the occasion and conferred the badges and the
sashes on the newly elected Student Council formed by the
students of Grades XI and VII. All the appointees were
brimming with enthusiasm and conscientiousness. It was
followed by an oath taking ceremony where they pledged to
carry out duties assigned to them with sincerity and efficiency.
It was a proud moment for all the parents of the appointees to witness their children being
invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders.
Miss Aanya Dangwal was appointed the first Head Girl of the school. The Principal

congratulated the students and urged them to observe their duties with utmost integrity while
being impartial to one and all. She reiterated that with great power comes greater
responsibilities. She also encouraged the Council to keep striving and keep the flag of
Gyananda School for Girls, Dehradun flying high.
