ions Use an AED if someone doesn't respond and isn't breathing or is only gasping.
Important There are 2 steps for using an AED:
Step Action
1 Turn the AED on.
2 Follow the prompts you see and hear.
If you have access to an AED, use it as quickly as possible. Make sure no one
is touching the victim just before you push the "SHOCK" button. If you can't
find an AED quickly, then start CPR. Push hard and push fast.
