Special Staining Techniques
Endospore Stain:
• Endospore staining is a differential technique that selectively stains the
spores and makes them distinguishable from the vegetative part of the
cells.
• - Process: Use malachite green, followed by safranin.
• - Application: Identifies spores in bacteria like Bacillus and Clostridium.
