P. 8
Set Operations: Union
The union of two sets A and B, denoted by A ∪ B, is the set of all elements that are
in A, in B, or in both. This operation combines the unique elements from both sets.
For example, if A = {1, 2, 3} and B = {3, 4, 5}, then A ∪ B = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}. The
union operation is commutative, meaning A ∪ B = B ∪ A.
