Genital Prolapse



                   Definition:



                   Prolapse means descent of a genital organ below its normal position


                   Types :


                   A) True uterine prolapse.



                   B) False uterine prolapse


                   A ) True Uterine Prolapse Consisted of :


                   1- Uterine prolapse


                   2- Vaginal prolapse



                   3- Combined vaginal& uterine prolapse. May be uterovaginal or vaginouterine.


                   B ) False uterine Prolapsed :


                   Occurred  due to elongation of vaginal portion of the cervix which is usually

                   congenital


                   Uterine Support.



                   A) LIGAMENTARY SUPPORTS


                   1- Machenrodet’s ligament


                   2- Utero-sacral ligament



                   3- Pubo-cervical ligament
