Ectopic Pregnancy

Definition

It is implantation of the fertilized ovum outside the normal uterine cavity.

• Common site (95%) : the tubes.

• Rare sites (57%): The ovaries, a rudimentary horn of a bicornuate

uterus broad ligaments, peritoneum and cervix.
