Investigations of ectopic pregnancy:

1- Serum β-hCG:

Urine pregnancy tests are positive in only 50-60% of ectopic

• If the test is negative, normal and abnormal pregnancy including

ectopic are excluded.

• If the test is positive, ultrasonography is indicated.
