You add -s for the base verbs (eats, reads, sleeps)







              Verbs ending in -ch, -s, -sh, -x, or -z form the third-person



                singular by adding -es (catches, misses, brushes, fixes,


                                                      buzzes)









              Verbs ending in a consonant + y (fly) form the third-person


              singular by changing the y to i and adding -es (flies, tries).






                 Rule


               There are two ways of writing "have" in the present since

               this verb is irregular. "Has" for she, he, and it. "Have" for

                                            I, you, they, and we
