Meadowlane Intermediate
Mary Morton, Ashley Juslin and Chad Haller’s classes at Meadowlane Intermediate in Melbourne wanted to show appreciation to their local first responders and honor those affected by the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The teachers invited members of Brevard County Fire Rescue Station 82 and West Melbourne Police Department to visit their classrooms on Sept. 11. The emergency personnel were presented with treats to share at their stations. They also provided information about the history of the 2001 tragedy and answered questions about their careers.
