   Palm Bay Elementary
Students at Palm Bay Elementary are preparing for their future. Community Credit Union tellers provided the students with financial and career training. The students enjoyed learning about budgets, income, expenses and saving. After a busy morning of training, the new “tellers” had lunch at Chick-Fil-A. Palm Bay Elementary students and staff were thankful for the experiences provided by their Partners in Education, Community Credit Union and Chick-Fil-A.
Also, the school’s sixth grade students visited Eastern Florida State College where they toured the auditorium, engineering lab, bookstore, library, speech lab. They also visited EFSC’s Fire Training Center on the Palm Bay and listened to trainees share their experiences. A few of the students enjoyed a side visit to the Associate Provost’s Office.

          Astronaut High
Astronaut High is making sure no students go hungry. The Titusville school’s new “Eagles Market” helps with everything from the student who forgot lunch or needs extra fuel before practice to assisting with needs for meals at home. The pantry is open

Adult Education
Walmart recently celebrated the grand opening of its massive distribution center in Cocoa with a rally and by gifting Brevard Adult Education with a $2,500 grant. Adult Ed offers job training, night school, and GED instruction to help students earn diplomas and much better jobs such as those at Walmart. Several Adult Ed grads have already joined the distribution center’s 400-plus workforce.
Palm Bay Elementary students have been learning about financial responsibility and future educational opportunities.
  three days a week and sponsored by Second Harvest Food Bank, Truth Free Will Baptist Church, No One Hungry and other donors. The school also added “Fresh Market,” a monthly opportunity for students to get free, fresh produce.
       Gov. Rick Scott presented Director of Adult Education Jeff Arnott with a $2,500 check from Walmart to support Brevard Adult Education programs.
