River Road Review
A look at a new local coffee and popsicle shop called River Road.
Many of us enjoy a morning coffee, and afternoon popsicle. The place to go is a local coffee shop called River Road. At River Road you can enjoy local art, great service, wonderful coffee and popsicles, and a unique atmosphere.
Owned by Elizabeth Fiegle, the coffee shop is bringing in happy customers. River Road has an incredible staff who are helpful and friendly. Many students enjoy going to River Road because it is nice to get away and feel cozy.
“I want them to feel like when they come in or leave, that they feel as if they’ve been at home. That they know they always have a place here,” said Fiegle.
The prices of the popsicles and coffees are reasonable and worth it. There are many coffees and popsicles to choose from. The popsicles are made fresh and everything in the coffee
shop is locally sourced.
“My first visit to River Road coffee
shop I decided to have their seasonal autumn- flavored specialty coffee and it was fantastic. Being that all of the food is made fresh I also tried the pumpkin muffin which was just as good as the coffee. I loved the ambiance of the coffee shop as well as the fact that it was not crowded. Great place to relax and get some
work done,” said first-time customer Stacy Slaughter.
My favorite thing about River Road is the feel. When you walk in you feel welcome and relaxed. You can order and sit down where there is local art on the walls and a quiet space. There are multiple rooms that will accommodate your
needs. This is a great place to host a get together or party. “It is a space created for them (the customers) with really
good coffee and popsicles,” Ms. Fiegle said.
River Roads concept is different from other places in
Brevard county. Serving coffee, popsicles, and tea the coffee shop has its own individual element. River Road has couches, tables, art, plants and a good feel.
“I fell in love with popsicles about 6 years ago after visiting a popsicle shop in Mississippi and I just thought it was a genius concept and needed since Florida is always hot. For coffee there just was not a local coffee shop in the area and I just wanted to be one of the first ones,” said Fiegle.
River Road incorporates local art work from jewelry to cutting boards. The art gives the room a snug impression. The rooms are colorful but settle to create a relaxing space.

In the kitchen there is a large wood pallet with coffee mugs on it, so when you order you can grab one and use that to put your beverage in. This is one of many special things about the building.
The coffee shop incorporates many local businesses with their front window they rent to people each month to advertise. This is an amazing way for River Road to spread the word about other businesses.
“I love talking to the customers and helping them,” said River Road waitress Yameen Workmen.
From the moment I walked in, the staff were caring and considerate. They never forced me into making a decision quickly;
they were very patient. When
I asked about what they recommended they told me
a little about each thing and helped me make the right decision. I ended up going with
a cheesecake popsicle and a pumpkin spice tea. It was great and I definitely recommend trying it.
Overall, I am so glad River Road
is in Brevard county. The business is thriving and incorporating other local businesses in the area. River Road is the thing Brevard needs for success in all areas.
River Road is by far one of the best places to go if you want to study in a quiet space or just to go out and enjoy a coffee/ snack.
