Where Are They Now?
Where do our students go after they graduate?
Story by Felicity Torres and Adison Maxwell
Xander Boggs
Xander Boggs is a graduate of 2018. He is going to UF to study music composition and pre-med. Boggs says he has always been involved with music and loved it. He also says he also wanted to go into medicine because he wants to help, and this is the way he thought he could help the most.
“The best thing you can do when you start college is to get as involved as possible, joining clubs and organizations as soon as you can. Not only is it a great way to meet people but it also helps you professionally in the future,” states Boggs.
Boggs was able to adjust to college quickly. He was able to meet new people and make friends.
“I’d tell a senior graduating this year to make the most of the rest of senior year and the friends you have around you because it may be the last time you guys are really together,” said Boggs.
Kailyn Cain
Kailyn Cain is a college student who graduated last year, in the class of 2019. She is currently going to Florida Atlantic University to study Pre-Business and Hospitality management. She is studying this because she wants to work at theme parks one day, or own an event planning business.
So far this year, Cain has enjoyed college life.
“College life has been amazing. I love not having seven hour days of school, and having football games!” Cain remarks.
She was able to adjust to her new lifestyle by staying busy and making new friends on her new campus. She does this
to keep her mind focused, rather than just missing home.
“I would tell a senior to live in the moments you have left and not to rush it. You may be ready to leave now, but once the time comes it’s one of the hardest things to see everybody goes their own way,” Cain says, looking back.
