FSA requirement
Students who earn sa sfactory scores on college entrance exams such as the SAT or ACT should be exempted from requirement to also pass the state FSA exams.
Accept computer coding in lieu of
foreign language
Students who take 2-3 years of rigorous computercoding courses instead of a world language should s ll be eligible for Bright Futures scholarships and admission to Florida state universi es.
Give districts  exibility to administer
FSA with paper and pencil
Cost, reliability and computer labs lost to tes ng remain a concern at BPS.
Financial literacy in schools
BPS would support a bill to require  nancial literacy in schools if it could be incorporated into a required economics course – as it is today in Brevard.
Ease reten on of experienced educators
Provide Florida school districts with op ons to re-employ teachers, school-based administrators and other instruc onal support personnel a er one month of re rement rather than the current requirements in law that can delay re-employment for twelve months.
