The Brevard Public Schools Plant Opera- tions and Maintenance Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the 48th largest school district in the United States and the 10th largest in Florida. Servicing 119 sepa- rate sites consisting of 11 high schools, 5 junior/senior high schools, 11 middle schools, 55 elementary schools and 227 portable classrooms, along with numer- ous ancillary facilities, totaling over 12,800,000 square feet on 2,576 acres.
