Northrop Grumman volunteers bring the latest STEM technologies to Delaura Middle School.
Harbor City Elementary
Harbor City Elementary’s Money Masters Branch Opening Day was a huge success, with many new and returning customers. The student tellers did a fantastic job working together to process student deposits. The event was both fun and educational. Many thanks to Community Credit Union and Jennifer Oakley for making it possible.
What’s Cool in Schools
Delaura Middle School
Northrop Grumman employees visited Delaura Middle School’s Science Department on October 5th. Science- based expertise is the heart of our high-technology culture, society and economy. Northrop employees developed a Snap Circuit Activity that provided students with hands-on experience including building a working light, propeller fan, and other projects. Snap Circuits Exploration Kits support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum and aid in career preparedness. Northrop Grumman proudly supports STEM initiatives critical to BPS students’ futures.
Students learn all about banking at Harbor City’s Money Masters Branch Opening Day.
Madison Middle School
The Tied Together Organization came to Madison Middle School for an hour-long presentation. Mentors from the local community taught male students lessons on how to be a strong man in today’s world and how to tie a necktie. The boys were given their very own ties in Madison’s school colors, maroon and gold. Since the event, they walk taller and demonstrate traits of true gentlemen while wearing their ties proudly.
Madison Middle School students learn the art of tying a tie by members of the Tied Together Organization.
