If we have one professional goal at the League of Historic American Theatres,
it would be to have every historic theatre in North America as a member. If we
had one personal goal for the League of Historic American Theatres, it would
be to personally visit each and every one of those theatres. Goals are good to
have. We hope you have a goal to maintain your membership in the League
and help us connect and empower historic theatres from coast to coast. The
more of us participating, the better our research, networking and education
outreach will be.

We know that 2020 was an exceedingly difficult year for almost all of you. And

we know that 2021 doesn’t seem to be starting out much better. But we hope
you can see the same light at the end of the tunnel that we do. More and
more we are hearing about plans for theatres to gradually open and eventually
return to business as usual. But what exactly is business as usual these days?
Masks, social distancing, temperature checks, distance learning, enhanced
HVAC filtration, new cleaning and disinfecting routines…

Whatever is in store for historic theatres post-COVID-19, we hope you will remain
a member so you can share and learn with and from your peers. And it’s
not just about COVID. The League is committed to shining a brighter light on

diversity, equity, and equality issues as well as digital programming, enhanced
online security, better customer service, effective nonprofit governance, and
the best practices in historic preservation.

We love having you as a member. We hope you will renew your membership
today. The League truly wouldn’t be the same without you.
