Chief Guest’s Speech

It’s a m ost difficult part to address the honourable guests. If the
g guests are illiterate, it is very sim ple to address. If the guests are
v very educated, it becom es all the m ore difficult to address them .

Today, as the Principal was sharing the achievem ents of Shri Guru
N Nanak, I would like to tell you that Guru Granth Sahib has fourteen
h hundred and thirty pages. If you read the first word Ek Om kar and
ou you hold discussion over it, see it’s nature, see it’s qualifications and
o go into it, I think there is no need to read the rem aining pages.

Ek Om kar m eans everything for m e, for you, for creatures or others. We m ust understand that God
Ek Om
is only one irrespective of any religion. It is very sim ple, so we should adhere to it.

I was just listening when the Principal m adam was giving the brief report of the teachings of
Millennium and she urged m e to speak. Unfortunately, where I studied there was nothing like this.
We never went to the dais to speak and nobody taught us how to speak. If I flounder som ewhere,
please excuse m e.

I I would say that teaching is a very good thing and that it should encourage the children to think
high and achieve higher.

Let m e share an incident regarding a boy who was from Harvard University. He went to the
university and asked for his certificate which should state that he had graduated from that place.
The authorities said that if he wanted to show his certificate to the public that he has graduated
from Harvard then he is not from Harvard.

S So, the teaching of the Millennium is such that without showing the degree or certificate, they are
known as Millennium people.

I will surely want to see them rising to the highest and achieving their goal.

Well, today it is a great day for m e as I was just talking to m y acquintance sitting next to m e and
asked her how to speak on the dais and he advised m e to just go there and say som ething.

W hen people s
W hen people say that I have rescued 65 persons, I would say that I haven’t done anything. It was
all because of that alm ighty who gave m e this opportunity and pushed m e into that hole to rescue
those 65 persons.

It was that tim e when the accident took place, the operation was not under m e and I was not at all
connected with it. I just went there as a volunteer and god helped m e. So, I would say to the
students that whenever you get an opportunity to serve the country, your people; don’t think
about your life.

Life is there, it has got to end and the end is certain. Tim e is certain, how it will end only god
Life is the
knows it. So when you get an opportunity, please help your countrym en, help your nation and
your neighbours.

W ith these words, I would say that I as really glad and happy to know that The Millennium
School had asked m e to be the chief guest and it’s not the position that I deserve in an
educational institution as I am just a graduate engineer from IIT.

I never learnt how to do all this. But if I have said som ething wrong then please excuse
m m e.
