The Office of Educational Services also conducted a Thought Exchange and asked the following
question:
“What’s working well and what could work better with remote instruction and the flex schedule?”
62 people participated in the Thought Exchange. There were 114 thoughts and 1275 ratings.
The top twenty highly rated thoughts are attached to this executive summary. See attachment.
A focus group will be held January 5, 2021 with a small group of teachers. The focus group is the
final phase of the data collection process. Once it is completed, the data will be triangulated and a
formal report will be shared with the school board.
Voluntary Placements
The following students are scheduled to return to campus for the second semester from voluntary
placements at RISE.
They have maintained their attendance over 75% and have met academic requirements.

12 Grade Female Student who sent threatening text messages.

12 Grade Female Student with persistent attendance issues.
th
12 Grade Male Student who was in possession of cannabis and other paraphernalia.
The pandemic impeded the campus’ ability to complete the community service requirement, but
students will complete that during second semester.

Two 10 grade female students are scheduled to return February 2021.

One 12 grade male student has not met the academic or attendance expectations and will remain at
RISE for second semester pending parent agreement to extend the voluntary placement.

• Working with Pepper Construction regarding closeout of summer projects punch list items – on going
• Renaissance completed the installation of the additional visual devices. Arranging for the interfacing
between Renaissance and Access control for the lock down procedure. Waiting on Access Control to
make final tie into controller provided by Renaissance.
