Students that completed the fall 2021-22 Early College Program application with Prairie State College
are currently taking the ELA and Math Placement assessments. Students must place into English 101
and Math 112 in order to qualify for the Early College Program. Once students are identified,
mandatory parent orientation meetings will take place to explain the expectations and opportunities for
               their children.

Working with Amazon and Seefried Properties, the Amazon facility is offering student experiences in
real estate management, robotics, architecture, engineering, material handling, and general contracting.
Students that are interested will be able to visit the site and experience the construction projects and
               interact with the staff.

               Curriculum

Working with the College Board, we have identified professional development focused on building an
AP program around equity and access. Our AP teachers will participate in 5 sessions which will create
goals and policies for the AP Program.

The district is working towards rebranding the curriculum handbook. We have identified key
components reflective of our current academy structure and will work throughout the semester to
develop a handbook that is informative and user-friendly for parents, students, and staff. The online
version will have interactive links for an enhanced experience.

The district is working with Loyola and SEPI to finalize the Education Pathway for our students. The
staff learned about the pathway and their potential involvement in the pathway. After surveying the
staff, there are 46 teachers interested in being involved as instructors and earning dual credit status.
