Welspool In-Lamb Sale
The Welsh Beltex Club in-lamb sale held at Welshpool livestock
auctions market on 14 December and saw a total of 32 Beltex
forward.
The pre-sale show judge was sale supporter Ryan Joesph of the
Brynsa flock; he went onto place an aged ewe from the Fronarth
Flock scanned carrying twins to a Wannop’s tup as his
Champion.
Continuing their winning success the Fronarth flock of Sion
Jones also took Reserve Champion of the day with a shearling
ewe – Fronarth Hot to Trot ET.
Vendors were once again happy on the day’s trading with a good
clearance rate and consistent averages through and through.
It was great to see a number of new faces around a packed ring
with many securing a female or two to establish new flocks.
Flock Competition
Our flock competition and results were held at our AGM on 4
November at the Celtic Royal Hotel, Caernarfon. It was good to
see many of the South Wales breeders travel the three-hour
journey north to show their support.
The Competition was judged by Anne Story of the renowned
Borderesk flock.

Winter Fatstock Shows
Congratulations to all club members who have had continued success within both the live and carcass competitions throughout the
country – there have been too many fantastic achievements to list which just goes to show that the Beltex is truly a butchers breed.
