The Grama Niladhari of this area is mainly connected with the school and she
supports all the work in a school for example when there is any special activity
like a sports meet, vaccination program, etc.
The temple of this area is directly connected with the school. The temple of this
area is Abinawarama Rankoth Maha Viharaya. The thero of this temple is
directly involved with all the activities of the village including school activities.
In every activity of the school, advice is given by the temple according to the
activity.
6.5.2 Administrative Structure
Paying salaries
Payments are given by the zonal educational division. The payment was debited
to teachers' accounts by reducing ETF, EPF, and Loan chargers. According to
the grade of the teacher, the salary level may differ. Every month pay sheets
come for the school with all the details of the salary. After receiving the pay
sheet, teachers should sign the pay sheet.
Charging money from the student for the school development fund.
Every student should pay some amount of money for the school in every year.
When starting the new grade, Students pay this money within the first term. This
money is used to pay for the water bill, electricity bill, telephone chargers, etc.
The teachers also contribute some money to the welfare society every year.
Purchasing of quality inputs.
Before purchasing the inputs should take an inventory report for purchasing
purposes, some money is debited to the school account by the zonal educational
department. Then tenders are called by the school-authorized persons. Then after
receiving tender prices, the school development society chooses a suitable place
to purchase and buy the needed items. If there is any problem with purchased
items again, they are returned. The money issuing is going on with a cheque.
Below 5000 rupees items are purchased by pet cash.
