Emrah Türer, CE. Emrah Türer is a Civil Engineer who has MSc. Degree on Geotechnical
Engineering. Emrah works for an EPS Company: Austrotherm Turkey as Civil Engineering
Applications Department Executive for three years. They are designing roadways, bridge
approachs ramps, retaining walls and buried culverts with EPS Block (Geofoam) projects
and providing site supervision and instrumantation services in geofoam applications.
Jan Vaslestad, PhD. Dr. Vaslestad has 40 years of geotechnical research, design and
construction experience. He is working in Norwegian Public Roads Administration, and has
also private practice for 10 years with geotechnical consultancy, buried structures and
geosynthetics. He has been adjunct professor at Norwegian University of Life Sciences since
2008, and visiting associate professor at University of Utah from 2014 to 2018. Dr Vaslestad
has been involved with several projects using lightweight fill materials, buried structures and
geosynthetics. He has delivered geotechnical guest lectures and seminars in 25 countries.
Diego Villegas. Diego is the Vice President of Cell-Crete’s Cellular Concrete Division, he has
been with Cell-Crete for 14 years. He started his construction career in a small home-building
company his brother started during the housing boom in 2005. He began at Cell-Crete as
a draftsman in 2007 when he was a sophomore in college, The first major project he was
tasked with when he was hired was the City Center project in Las Vegas it required LWICC on
most of the casino roof’s and Cellular Concrete at all the pool, plazas, and main entryway’s.
Since then he has been involved with some of the largest LCC projects in the country. He
likes working for this family-run company since it has allowed him to make a lot of his own
decisions and be involved in every aspect of the business, which has helped him grow professionally. He has
been a part of several technical papers and research of cellular concrete most notably the collaboration of
Dr. Tiwari’s Mechanical and Dynamic properties of LCC in addition to the current research being completed
as a pooled fund study for DOT’s at Brigham Young University.
Ryan Wilkinson. Ryan is a Graduate Research Assistant investigating lightweight cellular
concrete as a backfill material for cantilever retaining walls. Ryan received his MS degree
in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University in April 2020 and is expecting to complete
his MS degree in April 2021. Ryan will go to work for a structural engineering consulting firm
upon graduation.
Jeff Wykoff. Jeff is the business development/marketing manager at
Cell-Crete Corporation.
